Authorized feeding of petunias: compositions, methods of application, recommendations

Competent feeding of petunias: compositions, methods of application, recommendations Green petunia flowers are used in landscape design for the construction of an alpine slide and the design of a flower garden in the garden. French balconies are often decorated with petunias. You need to apply petunia flowers correctly and in a timely manner so that the plant enjoys bright colors and abundant flowering.

The timing of sowing seeds for seedlings depends on the type of plant. Ampelnaya planted in January, dwarf – in late winter or early spring, small flowers – last, because they bloom quickly. Seedlings are grown in plastic cups. The land is prepared in the fall. For him, they take equal amounts of soil, peat, sand and humus from the garden. The components are mixed, distributed in cups, do not forget to build a shallow drain at the bottom.

In order not to prepare the soil for a long time, they buy a special soil mixture in the store and fertilize it with ash – 0.5 liters of infusion is enough for 5 kg of soil. The infusion of ash is prepared simply: 200 g of ash is mixed in a bucket of cold water, insist 7 days.

The soil in the cups is moistened with a pale pink solution of potassium permanganate. The seeds are placed in the ground and covered with cling film to allow them to germinate quickly. Every day, the film is opened slightly to aerate and moisten the soil with a spray bottle of water. After the seeds germinate, the seedlings thin out, leaving the strongest. When the leaves appear, the film can be removed, and the cups can be moved to a well-lit place. Every day the seedlings are watered by the root, and on the surface does not form a crust, it is softened.

Landing in the open will occur in May. 2 weeks before the plant hardens – every day it is taken out into the street for several hours.

Types of clothing

Among the different types of petunia dressing, there are three main types:

Liquid fertilizers. They are concentrates that are diluted with water according to the instructions before use. The solution is used for irrigation or spraying.
Dry formulas. Available in powder and granules. Before use, they are diluted with water. It is applied once a week or more. If used daily, the concentration is reduced by a factor of 5.
Long-term formulas. They are granules that are absorbed into the soil before planting the flowers, which gradually provide nutrients to the plant. Such feeding of petunias is carried out 1 time and for a long time. It is used only by experienced growers because it is difficult to control the saturation level of the soil.

Soil cultivation methods

The choice of method of feeding petunias depends on the stage of development of plants and the purpose of the event:

then treat the seeds for planting in seedlings. Succinic acid is often used, which increases its resistance to drought and disease;
fertilize the soil before planting seedlings. Ensures proper nutrition of the plant;
2 weeks after planting, when the first leaves appear, the first flower dressing is applied: petunia needs nitrogen and phosphorus at this time;
The treatment of the leaves consists of spraying with ready-made store solutions.
How to achieve rapid growth

Sometimes the plant grows poorly even at the stage of leaf formation. The reasons can be varied, including climatic conditions and lack of nutrients in the soil. The second is destroyed using a special fertilizer for flowers – petunias are treated in combination with drugs “Fitosporin-M”, “NV-101” and “Energen”. The first drug should be selected with a note that it is enriched with Gumi elixir, which increases fertility.

Each of the listed compositions is diluted with water according to the instructions on the package, then the liquids are mixed in equal proportions. The resulting fertilizer is used to moisten the soil before sowing seeds. In the future, this fertilizer is used every week, adding 1 tbsp for each plant. l. prepared liquid mixture.

If the soil is covered with crust due to lack of moisture, you should moisten it with a saturated solution of potassium permanganate. When processing the soil, you should avoid getting compounds on the captives to avoid burning them.

Before harvesting the petunias, the soil is fed with “Zircon”. Take 4 drops of the drug for 1 liter of water. One week after harvest, the soil is fertilized with calcium nitrate and dissolve 10 g of the composition in 10 g of water. After 7 days, it was time to apply Florist Growth in an amount of 10 ml per 10 liters of water. The plant is watered weekly to keep the soil in the pot moist.

How to get abundant flowering

To ensure abundant flowering, you should choose another option for fertilizing the flowers – if you provide complex fertilization of the soil before planting in the ground, the petunia will bloom faster. Instead of watering, you can use a useful solution by choosing the dose and time of application. Take a bucket of water:

20 g nitroammophos;
1 zircon ampoule;
2 ampoules “Epin-Extra”;
20 g of ammonium nitrate (5 days after addition to nitroammophos);
15 g of diammophos (5 days after the addition of ammonium nitrate);
1 teaspoon potassium monophosphate.

Once the petunia has been transplanted into the ground, the following plant cleaning scheme can be used when dosing water-based compositions:

5 g of potassium monophosphate (14 days after landing);
20 g Fertika Lux;
15 g of potassium nitrate (replaced by previous fertilizer);
1 ampoule of zircon (weekly).

From July, the petunia is fed with urea once every two weeks and completes processing during abundant flowering. One of the drugs is added 1 time in about 3-5 days, then potassium nitrate, potassium monophosphate, Fertika Lux are added alternately. In August, the soil is fertilized with the same compositions, but the frequency of fertilization is reduced by half.
